No one in our country is unaware of the news that Ashaya Basnayake, the second runner-up to the crown saved by Pushpika from the Caroline Jury in the controversial wedding beauty pageant, is wearing it.  This is being talked about not only in Sri Lanka but all over the world today.  The video of the transfer of the crown of Mrs. Sri Lanka's final has now gone international and Mrs. World World IMC in California has issued a statement yesterday in response to the incident.  They have expressed surprise at the conduct of the Caroline Jury and have stated that it appears that Sri Lanka has violated the rules of the competition and that an investigation is underway.  So the company has also informed Mr. Chandimal Jayasinghe, who is the organizer of Sri Lanka, to request a letter from Caroline apologizing and send it to his company.  However, it is learned that the international body is not in a hurry to give a decision regarding the Caroline Image Queen crown until the facts are reviewed.  Also, as far as we know, Ashya Basnayake is the wife of a talented politician.  She is the married wife of Taranath Basnayake, a former Member of Parliament for the People's Front in the Kurunegala District.  So it is also learned that Ashya Basnayake is a mother of one child.  So today we bring you a series of beautiful photos of Ashya Basnayake that everyone is talking about these days.  So you can see the text of the photos below.
